Lilly in Progress

Tributes to Lilly, my Standard Poodle Love
About Pawsterity / Felice Fleisher
There is a special love and caring that goes into every moment of making an urn or tribute,
that is different from making anything else.
This work is so rewarding.
I feel very fortunate to be able to make these small works of art, which bring peace and smiles to people who have lost their loved pet companions.
. . . . . .
My journey to Pawsterity Urns was anything but direct.
I studied Fine Arts and Education (University of Washington) and soon after took a turn in the road which led me to work my way up through the home entertainment industry, with my final 20 years heading up the home entertainment division of Paramount Pictures in Canada. A demanding career, moves from Seattle, to Denver, to LA and back to Toronto, kids and a very busy life kept me away from making art, but when I retired from Paramount, I immediate dove back into art and ceramics.
I'd always wanted to try my hand at making custom dog cookie jars, so, with some time (and clay) on my hands, I began the joy of reacqainting myself with wheel throwing, sculpture, painting and drawing and then creating my first ceramic works..... bowls, mugs, plates and finally jars :-).
Eldoop Design (poodle spelled backwards) was my first foray into selling Custom Dog Treat Jars on line.
Many people began ordering keepsakes and pet urns, and I decided to focus on a small business devoted mostly to tributes and memorials to pets. This is what Pawsterity_Urns is all about.
I'd love to hear your thoughts about my work and what I offer.
I enjoy challenges..... so if you have an idea that's not represented on my website and you'd like to see it created in clay, please contact me. I'd love to work with you!!
